Once or twice a year we visit the Jesuit Mission, the Center for Indigenous Rights (CEDIAC) and the Tseltal communities they serve. For ten days, we immerse ourselves in the life of the Tseltal People. We try to understand the sources of their struggles and their joys, and share in solidarity with their journey to build a more just, humane and peaceful Chiapas. As we take in the breathtaking beauty of the mountains and jungles of northeastern Chiapas, we also step more deeply into relationship with the Tseltal People and the staffs of the Jesuit Mission and CEDIAC. Participating on a delegation to Chiapas is not a "travel adventure" or a "vacation," but a journey of the heart.
