Reports to: Ana Zuccarini, Communications and Donor Relations Manager
Time Frame: Academic quarter, with some exceptions
Office Hours: Most of an intern’s hours need to take place Monday-Thursdays between 9:00-4:00 pm.
Position Description: One Equal Heart is an independent, nonprofit organization, run by 2 staff members, its governing Board and a team of volunteers, including student interns. One Equal Heart interns spend about 4-6 hours each week in One Equal Heart Foundation’s office (in the International District in Seattle). Sometimes, interns will be able to work off-site on certain projects, but at least half of the hours will be spent in the One Equal Heart office. The ideal intern will have clear internship goals and be comfortable with a high degree of independence. Interns should have an interest in México or Central America, international development work, or nonprofit management. Ability to speak, read and write Spanish is not required, though helpful.
This internship is on a volunteer basis.
